Zihad rescued after 23 hours, dead

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Four-year-old boy, Zihad, has been rescued after 23 hours form an abandoned water pump pipe at Shahjahanpur Railway Colony in the capital Dhaka.

Doctors to Dhaka Medical College Hospital confirmed the child was brought dead.

There are marks of injury in his body and the child was not moving, according to reports.

Fire fighters were taking him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 3:30pm.

The rescue came shortly after fire service officially postponed the rescue operation this afternoon saying that it has found no existence of human being inside the well shaft.

Angry over the authorities' slow move to rescue Jihad, locals demonstrated against State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and officials of the Fire Service.
