Indian finance minister visits Bangladesh Saturday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Indian finance minister Pranab Mukherjee will visit Bangladesh on Saturday at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dipu Moni, a Indian High Commission announced said in Dhaka on Wednesday.
During his visit, Pranab Mukherjee will meet with Dipu Moni, Finance Minister AMA Muhith, and call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Indian finance minister will witness the signing of $1 billion Line of Credit agreement by CMD, EXIM Bank of India and Secretary, Economic Relations Department of Bangladesh.
“It may be recalled that the Prime Minister of India had announced a US$ 1 billion line of credit to Bangladesh for a range of projects, including railway infrastructure, supply of BG locomotives and passenger coaches, procurement of buses, and dredging projects during the path breaking visit of Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina to India in January 2010,” the announcement added. 
Signing of the agreement would pave the way for implementation of mutually identified infrastructure development projects in Bangladesh.
