Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- All government, non-government schools, colleges and technical institutions and equivalent English medium educational institutions will remain closed across the country from August 14 to September 16 on the occasions of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.
However, the classes of madarasa will remain closed from August 14 to September 19, an official handout said in the capital Dhaka on Thursday.
All classes of educational institutions will resume according to their annual calendar after the vacation, the handout added.
On Wednesday, an inter-ministerial meeting finalized a proposal to declare holidays in all educational institutions in the capital from 10th of Ramadan to help reduce traffic congestion.
