Urea production at Ashuganj factory suspended again

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Urea production at Ashuganj Fertiliser and Chemical Company Limited (AFCCL) in Brahmanbaria remains suspended since Wednesday night due to technical glitch, officials said.

The engineers and technicians at the factory are working round the clock to repair the fault, they added.

The factory, which is one of the key fertilizer suppliers of the country, can produce around 1,400 metric tons of Urea per day.

On September 18, the authorities shut down the urea production for two days following technical fault.
