Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s capital market – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange – will go on a six-day holiday from July 15 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of the Muslims.
Trading and official activities of the DSE and CSE will remain closed till July 20 as the Eid is calendared to be celebrated on July 17.
After the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, the normal trading and official activities of the prime bourse – DSE and port city bourse CSE – will resume from July 21.
The trading will begin at 10:30am and continue till 2:30pm while the office will begin at 9:30am and continue till 5.30pm.
During the holy month of Ramadan, the DSE and CSE authorities have reduced trading time by an hour.
Trading at the bourses is now taking place at 10:30am and continue till 1:30pm instead of 2:30pm.
The premier bourse also changed its office timing during Ramadan.
The office of DSE and CSE remain open at 9:30am as usual and continue till 4.0pm instead of 5.30pm during Ramadan.
