India’s company to establish apparel industry in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- An Indian Company will set up a textile and garments manufacturing industry in the Comilla Export Processing Zone (CEPZ), officials said on Sunday.
The company, M/s Arvind Mills Limited, India’s largest integrated textile and brand company, remained engaged in manufacturing of various high quality fabrics. 
It will set up their factory in an area measuring 40,000 sq meters in 20 plots and will produce textile and garments items.
The company will invest US$ 66 Million in setting up their unit and also create employment opportunity for 3,170 persons, including 120 foreign nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s Arvind in BEPZA Complex in the capital Dhaka on Sunday.
