California, US (BBN)-More than six months after WhatsApp allowed Android, BlackBerry 10 and Windows Phone users to use the instant messenger in a browser, the Facebook-owned company has now made the feature available to iPhone users.
WhatsApp had earlier said that it couldn’t enable the feature for iPhone users “due to Apple platform limitations’, but clearly, it seems to have worked its way around those, reports the Hindustan Times.
The feature was first noticed by Reddit users, who saw that WhatsApp’s website listed web support for the iPhone.
Interestingly, you’ll simply get this feature without having to update WhatsApp from the iOS App Store first — it seems like WhatsApp is simply flipping on a switch in its servers.
The only caveat is that you’ll need to have WhatsApp actively running on your phone to use it.
If you use an iPhone and want to start using WhatsApp Web, head to your WhatsApp settings and tap on the WhatsApp Web tab.
Once you’re there, simply follow the on-screen instructions to set it up.

Don’t panic if you don’t see the feature, by the way. It’s rolling out to users in waves and it might be some time before it shows up for you.
