Bangladesh govt borrows BDT 14bn issuing T-bills

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Bangladesh government borrowed BDT 14 billion on Sunday issuing its treasury bills (T-bills) to finance budget deficit partly, officials said.
Total 42 bids of BDT 37.45 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 58 bids of BDT 16.5415 billion for 364-Day T-bills were offered.
Of those five bids of BDT 7.00 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 31 bids of BDT 7.00 billion for 364-Day T-bills were accepted.
The range of the implicit yield of the accepted bid was 5.33-5.37 per cent and 6.11-6.35 per cent respectively, according to the auction result.
