Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Bangladesh’s stocks showed gaining trend at opining on Wednesday with marginal volatility.
Both the bourses of the Bangladesh – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – opened higher during the trading of fourth session of the week
The key index of DSE gained 6.24 points while the selective index of CSE rose 7.92 after first 15 minutes of trade when this report was filed at 10:45am.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, went up by 6.24 points or 0.12 percent to reach at 4,808.04, after first 15 minutes of trading, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 1.39 points or 0.07 percent to stand at 1,839.05.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 0.74 points or 0.06 percent to reach at 1,181.16.
Turnover remained slow and DSE turnover stands at BDT 237 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 80 advanced, 34 declined and 35 issues remained unchanged.
United Airways was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 56.40 million changing hands followed by Quasem Drycells, Power Grid Compnay, BSRM and Aman Feed.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – gained 7.92 points to stand at 8,952.64, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 24 gained, 21 declined and 5 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 14.28 million.
