Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened positive amid choppy trading on Tuesday, the second trading day after a week-long Eid vacation.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange gains 3.33 points and selective index of Chittagong Stock Exchange rises 5.63 points after first 15 minutes of trade Monday.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, went up by 3.33 points or 0.06 percent to reach at 4,870.09, when the report was filed at 10.45am.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 0.70 points or 0.05 percent to reach at 1,193.52.
However, the DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 0.03 points to stand at 1,863.69.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 249 million when the report was filed at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 81 advanced, 44 declined and 42 issues remained unchanged.
FAR Chemicals was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 84 million changing hands followed by ACI, Saif Powertec, Summit Alliance Port and BSRM Steels.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index -- CSCX – gained 5.63 points to stand at 9,076.61, also at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 24 gained, 11 declined and 12 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 10.45 million.
