Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks opened positive on Thursday with choppy trading after previous day’s flat movement.
Key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange gains 3.41 points and selective index of Chittagong Stock Exchange rises 7.19 points after first 15 minutes of trade Thursday.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, went up by 3.41 points or 0.07 percent to reach at 4,855.49, when the report was filed at 10.45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 3.40 points or 0.18 percent to stand at 1,851.37.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.69 points or 0.14 percent to reach at 1,182.58.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 211 million when the report was filed at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 88 advanced, 56 declined and 43 issues remained unchanged.
FAR Chemicals was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 47 million changing hands followed by Unique Hotel, Appollo Ispat, Eastern Housing and Saif Powertec.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index -- CSCX – gained 7.19 points to stand at 9,042.23, also at 10.45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 22 gained, 9 declined and 16 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 6.62 million.
