ADB to provide $80 million assistance for implementation projects in Nepal

Kathmandu, Nepal (BBN)- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to provide a loan and grant assistance of US$ 80 million to the government of Nepal for the implementation of two projects.

The projects are the Secondary Towns Integrated Urban Environmental Improvement Project and Kathmandu Sustainable Urban Transport Project.

The financing agreements to these effects were signed between the government of Nepal and the ADB in the capital Kathmandu on Tuesday, according to reports.

Under the agreement, the ADB will provide around $60 million loan to the Secondary Towns Integrated Urban Environmental Improvement Project and $10 million loan and $10 million dollars grants to the Kathmandu Sustainable Urban Transport Project.
