Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw positive trend in early hour of trading on Tuesday amid choppy trading, maintaining the previous day’s positive trend.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced upward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange gained 8.08 points and the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange earned 17.52 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 8.08 points or 0.17 per cent to reach at 4,544.14, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 2.80 points or 0.16 per cent to stand at 1,725.29.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 2.38 points or 0.21 per cent to reach at 1,094.64.
DSE turnover stands at only BDT 179 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 86 advanced, 31 declined and 35 issues remained unchanged.
Quasem Drycells was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 33 million changing hands followed by National Feed Mill, Power Grid Company and BSRM Ltd.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse- the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX- gaining 17.52 points to stand at 8,457.53, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 31 gained, 4 declined and 6 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 14 million.
