Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Citibank, N.A. Bangladesh organized a daylong Seminar on Foreign Exchange and Rates Risk Management, in Dhaka, on Saturday.
Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Former Governor, Bangladesh Bank, was the Guest of Honor. Samit Ghosh, Director, Citi Global Markets South Asia presented the keynote paper.
Dr. Ahmed said: “This is high time regulators take steps to provide more appropriate foreign exchange and interest rate risk management guidelines for financial risk mitigation of business as has been introduced in other emerging Asian economies”.
Citi Country Officer Mamun Rashid, Acting Head of Global Markets Shams Zaman and Acting Head of Corporate Bank Kanti Kumar attended the event among other officials of Citi Bangladesh. The program also saw wide participation from several corporate treasury and finance professionals dealing with foreign exchange.
