Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The industrial police started its journey with the initial 1,580 manpower on Sunday aiming to ensure law and order situation in the country’s industrial belts.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally inaugurated the special police unit at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital Dhaka this morning.
The industrial police was formed under a guideline prepared on February 9 this year following an announcement of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the Jatiya Sangsad on July 8 last year in this regard, according to reports.
