Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw downward trend in early hour of trading on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of the Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, nosedived.
Key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange dipped 8.09 points while the selective index of Chittagong Stock Exchange plunged 5.01 points after first 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 8.09 points or 0.17 per cent to reach at 4,503.21, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, fell 4.26 points or 0.24 per cent to stand at 1,709.60.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) shed 2.79 points or 0.25 per cent to reach at 1,082.22.
DSE turnover stands at only BDT 130 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 41 advanced, 70 declined and 15 issues remained unchanged.
Appollo Ispat was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 25 million changing hands followed by IFAD Autos, KDS Accessories, Premier cement and Titas Gas.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse- the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw downward trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX- losing 5.01 points to stand at 8,390.69, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 14 gained, 23 declined and 3 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 31 million.
