Molenbeek, Belgium (BBN)-The 26-year-old was captured alive in an operation by Belgian special forces in Molenbeek, according to Belgian broadcaster RTL.
Reports suggested he was seen at a window of an address with his arms up in the air, before police used tear gas to neutralise him, reports The Sky News.
However, Belgian public broadcaster RTBF said the wanted man had not been arrested.
Raids have been taking place in the Molenbeek district of Brussels Monday which has become a focal point for religious extremism and fighters going to Syria.
