‘EXIM Shopna’ to encourage savings

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - EXIM Bank Ltd is highlighting it’s a new saving product namely ‘EXIM Shopna’ to encourage the people to make savings with the bank.

EXIM Bank first assistant vice president Md Nazrul Islam told BBN on Tuesday that the clients would get credit facility if they opened deposit pension scheme under the new product.

The bank will sanction fresh loan after mature the DPS, he added.

The bank is also focusing its newly introduced ‘EXIM Krishi’ during the banking fair.

The farmers will be allowed to open account with the bank by keeping initial deposit amount of BDT 10 in line with the central bank directives.

The bank will give offer the farmers to open DPS by minimum paying amount of BDT 50 and BDT 100 per month, the private banker said.

The two products will contribute to speed up the ongoing financial inclusion operated by the central bank, he said.

The bank will also inform the clients about its other credit and deposit products during five-day long fair.
