Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Premier Bank Ltd is highlighting its remittance services between non-resident Bangladeshis and their beneficiaries at the Banking Fair Bangladesh-2015 so that the remitters send their hard-earned money to the country without facing any hindrance.

The bank will not impose any maintenance charge with the account of NRBs and their beneficiaries, Mizanur Rahman Johnny, an officer of Premier Bank, told the BBN during the ongoing fair.

The five-day long fair is going on since November 24 on Bangla Academy ground in Dhaka. Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman inaugurated the fair.

The beneficiaries of the remitters will be able to withdraw the fund from all branches of the bank and its affiliated NGO’s outlets.

The number of branches and NGO outlets are 450 where the clients will enjoy the service.

The product will play a role in increasing the inward remittance as the remitter will feel easy to send their money to the home, Mr Rahman said.

The bank is also working to popularise its fixed deposit receipts to the clients as the rate of interest of the products is attractive.

The bank offers interest rate between 7.50 per cent and 8 per cent for FDRs which maturity tenure is three-month, 6-month, 12-month and 36-month.

The client, however, will get 4 per cent interest rate against FDR tenure period of one-month.
