Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – City Bank is focusing its digital banking at the Banking Fair Bangladesh-2015 so that the clients will enjoy the banking services without going to the bank.
The bank has recently introduced a digital banking product named ‘Citytouch’ to expand the digital banking door to door, Jayonta Kumar Paul, a relationship officer of City Bank, told the BBN during the ongoing fair.
Under the products, the clients will open savings and current account and they could operate account from their respective home.
The service brings together all the conveniences of branch banking to the screen of the clients’ internet-enabled devices.
Under the product, the clients can shop from over 100 retailers, buy air tickets, pay mobile phone bills, credit card installment and school charges and fees, and transfer funds.
The client will be able to keep track their account round the clock. The clients will inform their updated balance history instantly if they use the product.
The bank is also focusing its credit card product.
The clients will be allowed to shop from more than 100 outlets through online by using the credit card.
The credit card of the bank is affiliated by American Express and City Bank is the sole agent of AMEX.
Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman inaugurated the five-day long banking fair on Bangla Academy premises in Dhaka on Tuesday.
