Bangladesh clinch AFC U-14 Championships defeating Nepal

Lagankhel, Nepal (BBN)-Bangladesh has won the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship final defeating Nepal 1-0 at Army Physical Fitness and Sports Centre in Lagankhel.
All Nepal Football Association hosted the final that was halted due to the April 25 Great Quake, reports The Kathmandupost.
The final was scheduled for a 2:00pm kick off at the Dashrath Stadium on April 25 before it had to be called off due to the 7.9 magnitude earthquake that struck at 11:56am.
A total of seven teams--also including, India, Bhutan, Maldives, Iran and Sri Lanka- had participated in the tournament.
In their route to the final, Nepal had defeated India with Bangladesh overcoming Iran.
