Treasury yields continue to rise in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The central bank held auction for BDT 3.00 billion in 91 days Treasury Bills on Sunday last, treasury officials said.  

Fifteen bids that were offered of which, one bid amounting to BDT 240 million was accepted, and bills worth BDT 2.76 billion were devolved on the primary dealers.

Bangladesh Bank also held auctions for BDT 2.50 billion in 364 days Treasury Bills on the same day. Eighteen bids were offered with totals of BDT 2.814 billion.

Of those, four bids amounting to BDT 464 million were accepted and bills worth BDT 2.036 billion were devolved on the primary dealers.

The implicit yields for the tenors increased by 88 and 25 basis points to 3.98 and 4.75 percents respectively.
