Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) -The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) Bangladesh has launched the ‘Young Entrepreneurs Award (YEA)-2011’ aiming to promote creativity and innovation among undergraduate students of the country.

“HSBC has been arranging this competition since 2000 as a token of our long term commitment to education sector where we intend to encourage real life exposure for future entrepreneurs”, Sanjay Prakash, CEO of HSBC Bangladesh, said at a press conference in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The YEA is a competition of business planning for undergraduate students in Asian region whereby participants from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Shanghai, Philippines, Brunei and Bangladesh get the chance to compete.

The competition starts with submitting initial business plan by teams comprising of two or three members at YEA website (www.aisayea.com) by 10th February, 2011 and seven best teams will be selected for presenting their plan to panel of jury after two level of screening from initially submitted plans.

The contest is open for submitting initial plan online from January 19 to February10. Details of qualifying teams in 1st round will be disclosed on February 20.
