Japanese company to invest nearly $9.0 million in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Nakano International Company Limited, a Japanese company, will set up a garments manufacturing unit in Ishwardi Export Processing Zone investing around US$ 8.93 million.

An investment agreement was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Nakano International Company Limited in Dhaka on Sunday.

Member (investment Promotion) of BEPZA Moyjuddin Ahmed and chairman of the company Minoru Nakano signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations, a press statement said.

The Japanese company will produce denim and cotton pants and garments items. It will also create employment opportunity for 1,570 persons including five foreign nationals.
