Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) -- Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed with a mixed trend in early hour of trading on Thursday amid marginal volatility, the last trading session of the week.
The premier bourse Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw downward trend, while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend when filed the report at 10:45am.
The key index of the DSE fell 7.10 points, while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse advanced 4.85 points within 15 minutes of the day’s trading at 10:45am.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 7.10 points or 0.15 percent to stand at 4,530.98 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, fell 3.16 points or 0.18 percent to reach at 1,773.37 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also lost 1.31 points or 0.12 percent to reach at 1,114.14 points.
DSE turnover stands at Tk 179 million when the report was filed at 10:45am, riding on Tosrifa Industries and Shahjibazar Power Company.
Of the issues traded till then, 65 advanced, 70 declined and 40 issues remained unchanged.
Tosrifa Industries dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 31 million changing hands till then, followed by Shahjibazar Power Company, ACME Laboratories, ACI Formulations and Delta Brac Housing Finance Corporation.

However, the port city bourse CSE saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index- CSCX–advancing 4.85 points to stand at 8,476.37 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 26 gained, 14 declined 11 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 5.0 million.
