Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- A.K.M. Shameem has recently been appointed as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Farmers Bank Limited.
Before joining the private commercial bank, Mr. Shameem was working with Mutual Trust Bank Limited. He joined The Farmers Bank Limited of Bangladesh in May 2013.
The senior banker started his banking career with Agrani Bank, a state-owned commercial bank, served as Head of different Branches and Head Office Divisions.
Mr. Shameem did his Honors and Masters Degree in Economics and MBA from the Institute of Business Administration of the Dhaka University (DU).
He is highly trained at home and abroad. He is a trainer and attends different bank training institutes as a resource person.
He is also a Guest lecturer of Banking Department of the DU and European University.
He is associated with Bangladesh Economic Association for long as an Executive Committee Member. He is Member Academic Council Dhaka School of Economics.
Mr. Shameem is a Life member of Bangladesh Society for Training and Development.
