Bangladesh’s commerce minister urges India to remove trade barrier

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Commerce Minister of Bangladesh Faruk Khan has urged India to remove trade barrier between Bangladesh and India and focused on creating employment through business expansion and develop relationship between the two countries.

He said this while addressing a seminar on 'Buyer-Seller Meeting' as chief guest on Friday at the 18th International Trade Fair at Guwahati in India, a press statement said.

Silk and Cottage Industries minister of Assam Pranab Gagoi, Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Tariq Ahmad Karim, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Rajeet Mitter, high officials of the government of Assam, importers, exporters and business leaders of two countries were present at the seminar.

Mr Khan said Bangladesh and India has a good friendly relation. Both the governments have made progress on removal of trade barrier between two countries as per the decision taken in the ministerial meeting.
