Dhaka stocks continue to fall Thursday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Dhaka stocks continued to fall on Thursday amidst strong volatility, market operators said. 
The benchmark index, DGEN closed at 6527.19 points, which is 146.22 points (-2.19 percent) lower than the previous session; the index lost more than 1000 points in total in the last nine trading sessions. 
The all share index, DSI closed at 5,409.10, losing 119.70 (-2.17 percent). 
All sectors declined on the day including banks, non-banking financial institutions, power and telecommunication. 
Thursday’s turnover value was BDT 5.6 billion, which is 16.4 percent lower than the previous day. National Bank was the most traded share today with turnover value of BDT 328.5 million.
