Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) inaugurated its 307th Branch on Tuesday at Manda of the country’s northern Naogaon district.
Professor Syed Ahsanul Alam, Chairman, Executive Committee of the IBBL inaugurated the branch as chief guest while Prof. Dr. Md. Sirajul Karim, Director of the bank addressed at the programme as special guest
Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, presided over the proramme, according to the IBBL.
The inaugural ceremony was addressed, among others by Shaymalendu Kumar Das, President, Manda Banik Samiti, Md. Nurul Islam, Professor Mahbubul Alam Choudhury, Farhad Hossain Chakder and Md. Shahidul Islam, businessmen, Mohammad Amirul Islam, Executive Vice President & Head of Bogra Zone and Md. Obaidullah, SPO & Manager, Manda Branch addressed the program. Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Executive Vice President and Head of Development Wing, Md. Faizul Kabir, Executive Vice President and Head of Rajshahi Zone along with top executives and officials of the bank, local businesspersons, professionals, and social elites were present in the program.
On the occasion of inauguration of 307th Manda Branch, a seminar on ‘Superiority and Success of Islamic Banking System’ was held at the Branch premises on Monday.
Professor Syed Ahsanul Alam, Chairman, Executive Committee of the bank attended the seminar as chief guest, Prof. Dr. Md. Sirajul Karim, Director of the bank attended as special guest.
Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO, Mohammad Amirul Islam, Executive Vice President and Head of Bogra zone presented keynote paper in the seminar.
Dr. Mohammad Manzur-e-Elahi, Member, Shariah Supervisory Committee addressed the seminar as chief discussant. Alhaj Moulana Mostafa Al Amin, Khateeb, Kusumba Shahi Jamey Mosjid, Manda addressed the seminar among others.
