Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading session of the week.
Both bourses - the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend till the report was filed at 10:45am.
The key index of the DSE advanced 7.03 points, while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse gained 1.26 points within first 15 minutes of the day’s trading at 10:45am.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 7.03 points or 0.15 percent to stand at 4,603.89 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 1.06 points or 0.06 percent to reach at 1,732.09 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also advanced 2.13 points or 0.19 percent to stand at 1,104.72 points.
Turnover, the important indicator of the market, stands at BDT 324 million when the report was filed at 10:45 million, riding on Confidence Cement and Doreen Power Generations and Systems.
Of the issues traded till then, 112 advanced, 41 declined and 41 issues remained unchanged.
Confidence Cement dominated the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 36 million changing hands till then, followed by Doreen Power BDT 33 million, JMI Syringe BDT 29 million, Bangladesh Building Systems BDT 28 million and Orion Infusion BDT 14 million.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse CSE also saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX – gaining 1.26 points to stand at 8,609.33 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 29 gained, 07 declined and 09 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 8.0 million.
