Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) held board meeting on Monday where directors prayed for the safety of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The meeting, presided over by Engr Mustafa Anwar, the chairman of the bank, was held at the board room of the Islami Bank Tower, said a press statement of the bank.
The meeting took important business and policy decisions expressing satisfaction on the performance evaluation of the bank’s achievement.
The meeting expressed deep gratitude to Allah for the safe landing of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Budapest of Hungary after being forced to make an emergency landing for technical failure in Ashgabat, capital of Turkmenistan.
The meeting offered a special prayer for long live and sound health of the Prime Minister for continuation of her current dynamic leadership and contribution in the economic progress of the country.
Directors of the bank along with Mohammad Abdul Mannan, the managing director and CEO of the bank, attended the meeting.
