Grameenphone to convert Facebook into Bengali

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Grameenphone Limited, popularly known as GP, in association with Facebook has taken initiative to convert social communication site Facebook into Bengali language.
Chief Communication Officer (CCO) of Grameenphone Kazi Monirul Kabir told reporters on Saturday that they already developed the site for mobile users on the website ‘m.facebook.com.
“Grameenphone, the largest market player in telecommunication sector of the country, is working for a fully Bengali site in Internet,” he added.
The GP CCO also said they are doing the job for the benefit of some 1.2 million Bengali-speaking people who regularly use the site.
He urged the Facebook users to be involved in the process of translation using ‘www.facebook.com/translations’ which will make the work easier.
