Four SCBs, ICB asked to buy shares from stock exchanges

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The government on Sunday asked the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) and four state-owned commercial banks (SCBs) to purchase shares from the bourses on an urgent basis.

The government has asked ICB and Sonali, Janata, Agrani and Rupali banks to buy shares from the two bourses, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) said in a notification posted on the website quoting the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
