Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Kazi Shahnewaz and Amin Ullah have been elected president and senior vice president (SVP) of Bangladesh Frozen Foods Exporters Association (BFFEA) for the tenure of two years (2011-2012).
The election was held in Chittagong and Khulna Saturday. The annual general meeting will be held on March 5 this year, the BFFEA said.
Mr Shahnewaz is the chairman and managing director of Shahnewaz Group and Mr Amin is the managing director of Ark Sea Foods Limited.
The other office-bearers of the BFFEA are: Vice presidents Sk Md Abdul Baki, managing director of the Oriental Fish Processing and Culture Ltd., and Mahmudul Hasan, director of the Conception Sea Foods Ltd. Members of the board of directors are: Mr Kazi Belayet Hossain of Sobi Fish Processing Ltd., Mr S Humayun Kabir of Amam Sea Food Industries Ltd., Mr M Khalilullah of Satkhira Foods Ltd., Mr Ashim Kumar Barua of Apex Foods Ltd., Mr AH Md Shahadat Ali Khan of New Foods Ltd., Mr Mostafa Arif Chowdhury of Amin Fish Farms & Ind. Ltd., Mr Syed Abu Asfer of National Sea Food Ind. Ltd., Mr A Jabbar Mollah of Jahanabad Sea Foods Ltd., Mr Ashraf Hossain Mashud of Mashud Fish Proc. & Ice Complex, Mr Kafilwara Choudhury of Choudhury & Co (BD) Ltd., and Mr Nur Karim of Mahi Fish Processing Ltd.
