Shahjalal Bank signs deal to launch automated bus ticket service

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) has signed an agreement with N-Wave Company Limited, Japan and Bright Tech (BD) Ltd, Dhaka for launching automated bus ticket services through Integrated Circuit (IC) Card.

IC Card will be used for automated bus ticketing system for facilitating the movement of passengers which will bring accountability in ticketing system and will deliver better services to the passengers, according to a press statement.

The hassle-free automated system will benefit bus owners, passengers and traffic system.

The agreement was signed by Managing Director of SJIBL Muhammad Ali and Managing Director of Bright Tech (BD) Ltd Md Shahjahan Ali (Shaown) on behalf of their respective companies.

Among others, Deputy Managing Directors of SJIBL Md Jillur Rahman and Md Mukhter Hossain, Head of IT Md Ziaullah Khan, Head of Marketing Md Shafiqul Islam and Head of PRD Md Shamsuddoha were present on the occasion.

N-Wave Co, Japan and Bright Tech (BD), Dhaka will supply and install necessary hardware and software along with other logistic support, while Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited will provide the banking services.
