A blind men climbs Mount Everest

Last updated: April 2, 2017

New York, US (BBN) - Erik Weihenmayer has climbed Mount Everest, the highest summit in the world.
In fact, he's climbed the seven highest mountains in the world, known as the seven summits, reports the USA Today.
He did it all, even though he's blind.
Weihenmayer said even though he's accomplished all of that, there's one thing that was more difficult to do: kayak all 277 miles of the Colorado River.
Weihenmayer and Navy veteran Lonnie Bedwell, also blind, pushed themselves through the chaos of the river's rapids.
Teammates helped guide the men through the Grand Canyon by giving directions through a bluetooth earpiece.
Weihenmayer did it to inspire as many people as possible to face challenges fearlessly.
He wants people to surprise themselves with what they're able to accomplish.
