Bangladeshi art exhibition in Pakistan

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - A month-long painting exhibition of Bangladeshi artists titled 'Colours of Bangladesh' will begin at National Art Gallery in Islamabad on December 5.

Pakistan Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sherry Rehman is expected to inaugurate the exhibition, jointly organized by Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad and Pakistan National Council of Arts, according to a message received in the capital, Dhaka on Friday.

Four renowned Bangladeshi painters are also expected to attend the inaugural ceremony.

About 100 paintings by 19 Bangladeshi artists will be displayed in the exhibition. The painters would also conduct four workshops on varied techniques of painting.

The main object of the art workshops is to familiarize the students and art-loving people of Islamabad city with art and culture of Bangladesh.
