Japanese ambassador visits CEPZ, KEPZ Sunday

Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)- Japanese ambassador to Bangladesh S Sadoshima will visit Chittagong Export Processing Zone (EPZ) and Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) in Chittagong on Sunday.

He will be accompanied by Member (finance) of the BEPZA AKM Mahbubur Rahman. Sources in the EPZs said the ambassador will visit OP-Seed Co (BD) Ltd, Dream Bengal Garments Ltd and Mamiya-OP (BD) Ltd in the CEPZ and two factories in the KEPZ on Sunday noon.

The Japanese investors have 14 industries in the CEPZ and two in the KEPZ, both state-owned export processing zones in the port city.

The ambassador will have meetings with the Japanese investors and will exchange views with senior BEPZA officials, according to reports.
