Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The government has established two new ministries by dividing the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technology.
The Ministry of Railways has been established, keeping the roads and bridges divisions under the communications ministry while Science and Information and Communication Technology divided into two – the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, separate official announcements said on Sunday.
On November 28, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expanded her cabinet by inducting into it two party stalwarts, Suranjit Sengupta and Obaidul Quader, as full ministers.
State Minister for Environment and Forests Hasan Mahmud has also been elevated to a full minister.
