Chinese company to invest $57.52 million in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - A Chinese company will invest US$ 57.52 in Uttara Export Processing Zone (EPZ) of Bangladesh for manufacturing collectible items, including toys.
M/S Sonic (Bangladesh) Ltd, a fully foreign owned company, will invest the money in setting up their unit that would create jobs for over 5,000 people.
Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/S Sonic (Bangladesh) Ltd signed an agreement in this regard at the BEPZA complex in the capital Dhaka on Tuesday, officials said.
Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Sayed Nurul Islam and Chairman of M/S Sonic (Bangladesh) Ltd Ben C Y Wong signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.
