Dhaka stocks open with negative mode

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) begins Wednesday’s trading with a negative note, maintaining the previous day’s bearish trend and key index plummeted almost 160 points within first half an hour.

At about 11.30am, the benchmark general index of the Dhaka stock Exchange, generally known as DGEN, slipped 160 points or by 3.85 per cent to come down below the 4,000 points mark and stands at 3,993.77.

Turnover value stands at BDT 502 million till fill the report at 11.30am while only five issues advanced, 210 declined five remained unchanged.

RN Spinning was the topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 31 million changing hands within first half an hour.
