IHG signs deal with BSL Sunday to take Ruposhi Bangla

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), a leading global hotel chain, will sign a deal with the Bangladesh Services Limited (BSL) on Sunday to take back the operations and management of Hotel Ruposhi Bangla.
The deal will be signed at a function at the Ruposhi Bangla Hotel at 12 noon on the day in presence of Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Farukh Khan, officials said.
Under the deal, the largest five-star hotel of the country will be managed and operated under the banner of Hotel Intercontinental for the next 30 years after finishing necessary renovation and refurbishment of the hotel.
The renovation work will take two years to finish when the hotel will remained closed, but the employees and workers who are currently working for Ruposhi Bangla will be provided with jobs in other hotels of Intercontinental.
Intercontinental run the state-owned Dhaka hotel from 1966 to 1983.
