The interim government is set to appoint eminent economist Ahsan H Mansur as the new governor of the Bangladesh Bank.
To make the appointment, the central bank of Bangladesh will have to amend the age limit of governor which was earlier set as 67years.
A high-level source of the financial institution division of the Ministry of Finance informed that order has already been issued to change the process of the age limit of the central bank governor.
Mansur will succeed Abdur Rouf Talukder as the 13th governor of the Bangladesh Bank.
