Bangladeshi cricket fan dies as Tigers miss Asia cup

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - A Bangladeshi cricket fan died of heart attack in the country northern Panchgar district after Pakistan defeated the hosts by two runs in the Asian Cup final match on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Azizul Islam, a betel-leaf shopkeeper of the village. He suffered a severe heart attack and died instantly when Pakistan beat the Tigers by two runs, news reports said quoting family sources.
Put to bat first, Pakistan scored a reasonable total of 236 for 9 in stipulated 50 overs. In reply Bangladesh were restricted at 234 for 8 in their allotted 50 overs.
This is the second time that Bangladesh qualified for the final of ODI tournament after a triangular series at home in 2009 lost on both the occasions very narrowly almost from winning position.
