Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Indonesian Airlines will soon introduce Dhaka- Jakarta direct flights to help boost bilateral trade and flourish tourism, Indonesian Ambassador in Dhaka Zet Mirzal Zainuddin said in Dhaka on Saturday.
The envoy came up with the disclosure at the closing session of Indonesia Trade Expo at a city hotel.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Faruk Khan spoke at the function as the chief guest, an official statement said.
“Indonesia is a tested friend of Bangladesh. There’s a strong relationship between the two countries in the areas of religion, history and culture. The relationship will be strengthened in the days to come, he noted.
The Indonesian envoy also said Bangladesh and Indonesia are enjoying a very good maritime relation and it will deepen further in the days ahead.
