Saudi prince keen to invest in power, tourism in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Alsaud has expressed his desire to invest in power and tourism sectors in Bangladesh.
Foreign Minister Dipu Moni told reporters after a meeting held between the Saudi prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka Sunday afternoon that she discussed with him the possibility of investment in the power and development of the tourism sectors.
“The Prince has expressed his willingness and our discussion will continue,’’ the foreign minister said, adding that a team from Bangladesh will visit Saudi Arabia soon to discuss specific projects with the officials of Prince Talal’s companies.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Deputy Leader of the House Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, LGRD Minister Syed Ashraf and prime minister's International Affairs Adviser Gowher Rizvi were also present at the meeting.
The Prince came here on a brief good will visit to Dhaka at the invitation of the foreign minister.
Earlier around 10:45am, a special aircraft carrying the Saudi prince landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital Dhaka.
