Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - ONE Bank Limited has selected the Sybase 365, a subsidiary of California-based Sybase Inc, to deliver end-to-end mobile banking services to its customers.
The bank has taken the move to boost mobile banking in rural Bangladesh to accelerate economic growth of the country, bank officials said.
Sybase Inc. is a global leader in mobile messaging and mobile commerce services.
This deal will allow the private commercial bank to introduce its branchless banking initiative enabling customers to have full control of their bank accounts.
It will also enable customers to perform transactions through their mobile phones regardless of their location, they added.
They said it would be implemented together with Neurosoft Technologies Ltd, the local partner of Sybase 365.
