FBCCI former director Rouf Chowdhury passes away

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- President of Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vanaspati Manufaturers' Association M A Rouf Chowdhury died of cardiac arrest in London Tuesday. He was 65.
Dead body of M A Rouf is expected to arrive in Dhaka Saturday next, one of his close business colleagues said in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday night. 
Late M A Rouf, former director of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), went to England recently for celebrating holy Eid-ul-Fitr with his two sons, now staying there.
He was the chairman of the Mark Group of Companies and also owner of Rahima Food Corporation, Mosahid Textile Corporation and RP Spinning Limited.
Besides, late M A Rouf was also directors of the BIMSTEC, SAARC, D-8 and Islamic Chamber.
His village home is Biani Bazar Upazila of Sylhet district. M A Rouf's father, Morshed Ali Chowdhury, was a professor of Bangladesh Agricultural University Mymensingh.
Late M A Rouf obtained Honours and Masters degrees in Politics and Economics from Oxford University in UK.
