Bangladesh increases fuel prices further

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The government on Thursday increased the fuel prices further with effect from early Friday to minimize subsidies on the gasoline products, officials said.  
The price of diesel and kerosene has been raised by BDT 7.0 a litre to BDT 68.
The price of octane and petrol has been raised by BDT 5.0 a litre to BDT 99 and BDT 96 respectively, they added.
Earlier on December 30 in 2011, the government increased the price of fuel by BDT 5.0 a litre.
