Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) edged higher on Thursday, the last trading day of the week with turnover shrinkage again.

The prime index of the DSE ended at 4,132 points, adding 10.57 points or 0.25 per cent.

Turnover value on the premier bourse stood at BDT 1.52 billion, down by 15 per cent from previous session.

Out of 254 issues traded, 152 advanced, 79 and 23 remained unchanged.

A total of 0.046 million trades were executed with 48.51 million trading volumes.

United Airways was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 204.94 million changing hands.

United Airways was the day’s highest gainer posting a rise of 7 per cent while Savar Refractories was the worst losers, plunging by 5.62 per cent following its no dividend declaration.

On the other hands, the port city bourse also closed positive with the CSE Selective Category Index stands at 8,025.39, after gaining 20.69 points.

Of the issues traded, 85 advanced, 61 declined and 17 remained unchanged with BDT 215 million turnover value.
